Procuring or marketing energy on the futures market with foresight
Access to the long-term products (futures) and prices traded on the EEX energy exchange in Leipzig is essential for energy producers and consumers to be able to plan economically. For both energy buyers and sellers, however, having their own access to the exchange incurs costs and requires extensive experience in dealing with the respective products. In addition, there are sometimes high liquidity requirements in order to be able to handle the so-called margining. Furthermore, the administrative requirements (such as technical connection tests) are disproportionately costly for smaller market participants. We have many years of experience on the EEX futures market and support you in a direct contractual relationship with you in the forward-looking supply and marketing of energy.
Stay flexible: Your access to the short-term markets
In order to be able to react flexibly to changes on the market or to your own requirements, it can make sense to participate in the short-term markets in addition to the long-term futures market. Transactions to be fulfilled at short notice are concluded on the spot and intraday markets. On the one hand, this is interesting for energy consumers who do not want to buy electricity exclusively via the futures market. However, access to the day-ahead and intraday markets is also valuable for producers - especially when it comes to electricity generation from renewable energy sources, which is difficult to forecast. GETEC ENERGIE supports you in a direct contractual relationship with you to participate in the short-term markets for energy - as an energy consumer, supplier or producer, without the need for you to have your own access to the exchange.
Natural gas
In addition to electricity, natural gas is also traded on the energy exchange and over the counter (OTC). Like electricity, this can be procured long-term on the futures market or short-term on the spot market. Both H-gas (high-calorific natural gas) and L-gas (low-calorific natural gas) are traded on the German energy exchange EEX and in OTC trading. As with electricity trading, GETEC ENERGIE has access to all major trading centers as well as long-term trading relationships with wholesalers and therefore has access to all major products traded in gas at wholesale prices.GETEC ENERGIE also supports you with gas in the direct contractual relationship "over the counter -OTC" in the design of a procurement strategy tailored to your needs, which provides you with planning security and at the same time allows sufficient flexibility. It is not necessary for you to have your own direct access to the exchange. GETEC ENERGIE gives you indirect access to wholesale prices through a direct contractual relationship.
