Change of managing director at EEG
Hanover, 12.09.2018 - Following the successful takeover of EEG Energie- Einkaufs- und Service GmbH by GETEC ENERGIE AG (GETEC ENERGIE), a new managing director has now been appointed. Mr. Marc Wiederhold succeeds Mr. Matthias Wendel, who had managed EEG on an interim basis during the organized sales process.
On Friday, August 24, 2018, the existing Supervisory Board unanimously approved the appointment of the new Managing Director. Mr. Wiederhold comes from GETEC ENERGIE and previously held various management positions in the energy industry. Among other things, he was responsible for the conventional German and Austrian business at Danske Commodities before moving to GETEC ENERGIE at the beginning of last year.
"With the appointment of Mr. Wiederhold, we are sending a clear signal for the future orientation of the company," says Bernward Peters, CEO of GETEC ENERGIE. GETEC ENERGIE had already made a clear commitment to the continued existence of the company and its location as well as the expansion of the range of services in line with the requirements of EEG's customers.
