GETEC ENERGIE AG acquires shares in ENGIE Energielösungen GmbH
Berlin/Hanover, 30.10.2018 - On 27.09.2018, the shareholder of ENGIE Energielösungen GmbH (EEL) from Berlin and GETEC ENERGIE AG (GETEC ENERGIE) from Hanover agreed on a purchase agreement for the acquisition of all shares in EEL by GETEC ENERGIE with effect from 01.01.2019. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Nothing will change for EEL customers as a result of the takeover by GETEC ENERGIE. EEL, now a wholly owned subsidiary of GETEC ENERGIE, will continue to supply EEL's customers in accordance with the contractually agreed regulations and will offer EEL's customers all other services of GETEC ENERGIE and its subsidiaries.

"For us, the acquisition of EEL is an important step towards strengthening our market position. With the takeover, we will handle a business volume of over one billion euros in 2019. We run the processes required to supply our customers on a largely automated and scalable platform. ENGIE Energielösungen GmbH (formerly GDF SUEZ Energy Sales GmbH) was founded around 20 years ago and has successfully established itself on the German market, particularly with the supply of electricity and natural gas to business customers.
The ENGIE Group will continue its energy trading activities in Germany and expand its energy management services.
