On October 22, 2020, the German Federal Cartel Office granted its approval for the takeover of the business of Total Energie Gas GmbH (TEG) by GETEC ENERGIE - a subsidiary of GETEC Energie Holding GmbH. GETEC ENERGIE will take over TEG's customer contracts from January 5, 2021 and thus continue the operational business of supplying B2B customers with electricity and natural gas.Nothing will change for TEG customers as a result of the takeover by GETEC ENERGIE. TEG, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of GETEC ENERGIE, will continue to supply its customers in accordance with the contractually agreed regulations and will also offer all other services of GETEC ENERGIE and its subsidiaries.For GETEC ENERGIE, the takeover of around 58,000 energy consumption points means further growth of its highly scalable platform for all energy industry processes such as market communication and billing.
