Stefan Poehling will become Managing Director of Stadtwerke Clausthal-Zellerfeld from January 1, 2022. After more than 20 years at GETEC ENERGIE, the Harz native is returning to his home region. From 2001, Poehling initially supported the development of sales at the newly founded GETEC ENERGIE. He then moved to the direct marketing subsidiary GEWI GmbH (GEWI) in 2009 and helped to build it up in the following years. Today, GEWI is the trusted partner of many operators of wind power, photovoltaic and biomass plants. With around 4,000 MW, the Hanover-based company is also one of the largest marketers of electricity from renewable energy sources in Europe, both via direct marketing and so-called PPAs."We are very grateful to Stefan Poehling for his work and, above all, for leaving the direct marketing business in such a strong condition," said Bernward Peters, CEO of GETEC ENERGIE, commenting on Poehling's move.
