25 years of EEG: GETEC-ENERGIE subsidiary celebrates anniversary.

The energy service provider, which has deep roots in northern Germany, has been supporting municipal and local utilities in all energy matters since 1998, including the procurement of electricity and natural gas as well as energy data management (EDM) for grid operators and sales companies. EEG manages a total of around 500,000 metering points. EEG also handles sustainable, green energy procurement and professional portfolio, balancing group and forecast management for its customers. New topics such as the implementation of the Fuel Emissions Trading Act (BEHG), Redispatch 2.0 and the integration of renewable energies from PPA projects have also found their way into EEG’s broad service portfolio.

EEG has been part of GETEC ENERGIE since 2018 and is in a better position than ever before. “I am delighted that we have managed to continuously expand our range of services in recent years and have been able to win more and more customers – and not just in northern Germany,” comments Marc Wiederhold, Managing Director of EEG. “This is an absolute team success, and I am convinced that this will continue for the next 25 years,” Wiederhold continues.
