GETEC ENERGIE, Germany’s fourth-largest electricity supplier for industrial and commercial customers, is taking another step towards climate neutrality: the Hanover-based energy services company has had its_{carbon footprint} for 2022 calculated by Climate Partner for the first time. The calculation, which takes into account Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, resulted in a carbon footprint (in CO₂ equivalents) of 627,972 kg CO₂ (including a safety margin of 10%). This currently puts GETEC ENERGIE in the upper mid-range of comparable companies.

As one of the leading providers of green energy solutions for industrial, commercial and multi-site customers, it is particularly important for GETEC ENERGIE to operate as sustainably and transparently as possible. Calculating its_{carbon footprint} is therefore crucial for the company to better understand its own environmental impact, comply with legal requirements and minimize business risks.
