Outstanding commitment to sustainability: GETEC ENERGIE receives EcoVadis gold medal.

Once a year, GETEC ENERGIE subjects its sustainability efforts to an assessment by EcoVadis. On the one hand, this serves to make the energy service provider’s sustainability efforts more transparent for customers and other stakeholders. On the other hand, the knowledge gained by the company itself is also an important motivation: the EcoVadis scorecard reveals potential for improvement and thus helps committed companies like GETEC ENERGIE to continuously improve their sustainability management.

EcoVadis, one of the world’s largest providers of sustainability ratings, evaluates companies in various sustainability areas to assess their commitment and performance in several categories. This includes environmental aspects such as the_{CO2 footprint}, waste management and the contribution to biodiversity. In the area of labor and human rights, EcoVadis evaluates the implementation of employee training, occupational safety and company health management, among other things. In the ethics and compliance category, the assessment criteria include aspects such as the existence of internal and external whistleblower systems, the implementation of risk assessments and compliance with various rules of conduct. EcoVadis also assesses the sustainability of procurement at purely office-based companies such as GETEC ENERGIE, for example by reviewing existing purchasing guidelines, reporting and processes. The EcoVadis Gold Medal award recognizes companies’ commitment to a sustainable future and their outstanding performance in all areas assessed.
