Commitment on German Diversity Day: GETEC ENERGIE employees donate to "Kleine Herzen Hannover e.V.".

Diversity Day has been initiated by Charta der Vielfalt e. V. since 2012. It offers companies and institutions a platform to make their commitment to an appreciative and unprejudiced work culture publicly visible.

Under this year’s motto “When diversity wins, Germany wins”, GETEC ENERGIE not only celebrated its diversity, but also set an example of solidarity. As part of an internal fundraising campaign, employees collectively donated a total of EUR 1,851.40 to the association “Kleine Herzen Hannover e.V. – Hilfe für kranke Kinderherzen”.

The voluntary association was founded in 2006 with the aim of supporting children with heart disease and their families in difficult times. Kleine Herzen Hannover e.V. supports the children’s heart and intensive care unit at Hanover Medical School – for example by designing rooms suitable for children or providing psychological support for children and their families. All of the association’s projects are financed exclusively by donations.

The Diversity Day at GETEC ENERGIE was supplemented by a company-wide campaign in which employees made their individual characteristics visible. The aim was to raise awareness of the diversity in the team, learn from each other and treat each other with respect.
