Future Day at GETEC ENERGIE

The Future Day is a nationwide initiative aimed at supporting career orientation. It gives young people the opportunity to explore different professions and working environments. The goal is to provide early guidance and foster individual interests.

At GETEC ENERGIE, participants enjoyed a varied agenda: After a welcome and a tour of the historic office building, they received an engaging presentation that offered insights into the energy industry. Interactive elements such as a quiz and a role‑play exercise – where the pupils took on different roles in the sector, ranging from the operator of a waste‑to‑energy plant to an energy trader – helped them gain practical understanding. The day concluded with a shared lunch and the handover of participation certificates and small souvenirs.

“The Future Day is a great opportunity for us to introduce the younger generation to the diversity and future relevance of the energy sector,” says Jeanne Lebek, Team Lead of HR at GETEC ENERGIE. “It is especially important to us to provide early insights into real working environments – because this is often where the first ideas for one’s own career path begin to take shape.”
