GEWI Once Again the Third-Largest Direct Marketer of Wind Power in Germany

Twice a year, the Zeitung für kommunale Wirtschaft (ZfK) publishes a ranking of the largest direct marketers of renewable energy in Germany. In the latest summer ranking, the Hanover-based direct marketer GEWI has once again made it into the list of top 6 renewable energy direct marketers in Germany and ranks third in the wind sector in Germany. GEWI’s success is based in particular on its high flexibility and commitment to customer proximity. In addition, GEWI is focusing on expanding the direct marketing of offshore windfarms and on the marketing of balancing energy (aFRR).

“Pure direct marketing remains the central foundation of our business. At the same time, we see that additional revenue options are becoming increasingly important for plant operators,” explains Patrick Notzon, Managing Director of GEWI. “That is why we are making targeted investments in the expansion of marketing models such as aFRR and offshore wind farms.”
